IMAGINE...
Denver, Colorado, august 12th, 13th & 14th , AIESEC CONFERENCE
I just want to thank every single person for coming , for sharing a point of view, for giving an opinion, for hearing other perspectives for peace, I want to say thank you for what you gave me in this couple of days, for showing me that no one has the truth, and that we still can reach it by joining our positions, never mind if we still have fanatic people, we still have the power, every single person has the power, not to change the world, but to change his own vision of the world…which is more important for the next generations..
I’m not going to say that this week end changed my life, but still, it added a lot changes to my world’s conception, I still believe that religion is not the main topic with which we are going to make war history… The main problem is in our minds…history is on books take your time to read them and to think about the future…Germany still have the scars of what Hitler did in the last century, but we can see nowadays that the “neo Nazi” represent a minor part of the population… we do have the energy to make things happen, to give a chance to our potential, and to believe in each other even if we are different…
I just give a special thanks for Fady from Egypt, hind from Morocco, and Emira from bahrein, they gave me the opportunity to see how rich can be the Arabic world by its diversity, they allowed me to trust in a real peace, there was voices inside me telling me that I’m a fool person, still believing in impossible issues, I met other crazy guys the last week end, sharing the same dream, trying to communicate more or less the same idea, with their own words and experiences…
I want to say thanks for a friend of mine here in St Louis, I’m very proud of Riadh, and just want to let him know by this blog, that what he wrote last Sunday, in the latest conference, was the best way for an Arabic to open his heart for the salaam..
Finally, before going to Denver, I was wondering what kind of persons Jennifer and Lyna are … the answer will be just amazing and lovely persons... I hope that Jennifer’s tears last Sunday were tears of happiness, happiness cause what she did is simply incredible, happiness cause she did what our parents were unable to do, or won’t do, happiness cause she gave us the opportunity to be happy during those 3 days…
